The FAQ

Why should we hire you as our photographer?

Photography is a huge passion of mine. Your images are as important to me as they are to you. I will take the time to get to know you so that we can design your session to be a combination of your personal style and mine. I want your personality to shine through in your images. I want our session and your photos to be something that you look back on in 20 years with happiness.

If I need to cancel my photo session, is my retainer refundable?

I understand life happens and you may need to cancel your session. Please note that your retainer is nonrefundable, however, it can be applied to future sessions with 6 hours notice of cancellation. Messages and emails, with time stamps with at least 6 hours notice before session, will count as valid cancellation. If session is cancelled without 6 hours notice, your retainer will be forfeited.

Where are your shooting locations and do you charge a travel fee?

I offer photo sessions in Pahrump and most of Las Vegas for no additional travel fee. I am willing to travel for photo sessions, but there will be an additional fee charged by distance. Photo client will also be responsible for any and all parking and entrance fees. Please check out my Shooting Locations page for ideas for your session.

How do we get our photos?

You will receive a link to download a digital gallery within the specified time for your specific session. Print options are also available and pricing will be included in the link with your digital gallery. Newborn sessions and Wedding packages include a USB drive with images. For all other photo sessions, a USB with images can be purchased for an additional $15.

Do you retouch photos?

Yes, I edit all of my photographs. Each image you will receive has been hand edited, one at a time. For portrait sessions with 30 images and under, skin brushing will be applied. These edits will also be made to one album of formal wedding photos for the bride and groom. Additional edits can be requested but may have an additional fee.
For Real Estate photos, each outdoor image will have a blue sky and high contrast. Interior images will be well lit. I will attempt to shoot around clutter while photographing, but ultimately client is responsible for the cleanliness of home, both interior and exterior.

Can I purchase un-edited photos from our photo session?

I shoot all of my images in .RAW format. This allows me to have more options in the editing process. I am willing to sell you un-edited images from your session, but based on the number of images taken, and if the photos need to be converted to .Jpeg for your edit process, the price will vary. Prior arrangements can be made to purchase a photo session with no editing. This service is offered at a starting price of $300 an hour, with a two hour minimum.

How many edited images will I receive from our photo session?

Each photo session offers a different image count. Please refer to your chosen photo session image count at booking.

Can I purchase additional edited images from our photo session?

Yes. Each additional digital image is $25.

Can you provide a second photographer?

Our Gold and platinum wedding packages both include a second photographer. A second photographer can be requested for any photo session, but there will be an additional fee, based on time needed.

What should I wear to my photo session?

I offer a client closet that is included with all sessions. You are welcome to borrow as little or as much as your session needs to be styled perfectly.

Keep it simple. Stick to solid colors or simple patterns so the clothing isn't the focus of your photo.

Wear something that fits and flatters your shape.

Keep it natural. Your clothing, makeup, and hair should be somewhat natural and frame your features.

Coordinate. If it's a group photo, make sure you pick your color palette to compliment the vibe your going for. Vary patterns, solids, and colors for outfit choices so you do not blend together. Resist the urge to have everyone wear the same color unless the theme of the photo session is matching outfits. You will blend together and it will not be flattering in groups if everyone is in the exact same color.

Be yourself. You want your photos to reflect your personal signature style. Go ahead and break the rules if they do not suit your style. First and foremost, we want you to be comfortable.

Do not wear clothing with large logos. We want you to be the focus of your photo, not your favorite brand.

Do not dress too casual. A photo session is a special occasion so wear your Sunday best.

Do not slick your hair back. A slicked ponytail or hair style can look severe in photos.

Do not forget to plan ahead. Don't cause extra stress to yourself by waiting to plan what you are wearing until the morning of.

Do not try a new style. Photo sessions are not the time to try new trends. Stick to what you know you are comfortable in.
